| What is the Difference Between DVD Replication and DVD-R Duplication? |
There are two ways to make DVD copies:
1). DVD Replication, is the process of first creating a glass master and stamper, then replicating discs via injection molding. DVD replication is the best solution for larger quantity orders.
NOTE: Minimum DVD Replication order is 1000 units on all formats; DVD-5, 9&10.
2). DVD-R Duplication, involves ?burning? data into a photochemical layer of the DVD-R recordable disc. A glass master & stamper is not required for DVD-R duplication, but a DVD disc master is necessary. DVD-R duplication has the advantage of rapid turnaround for short-run orders. Dub-It offers high-quality DVD-R duplication from 10 to 500 units.
NOTE: Current DVD-R duplicated discs, like DVD-5s, have a maximum capacity of 4.7 Gb (2 hr. video).

| What is Dub-It's Check Disc Policy? |
Check discs are available as a customer option. The quality of video and audio content- and proper functioning of a DVD- is completely dependent on the client?s preparation of the DVD master. Dub-It uses Eclipse mastering software to test for data integrity prior to producing a glass master and stamper. Eclipse testing will find data and data structure errors on client masters but will not test for video & audio content quality or navigation functionality. It is the customer?s responsibility to provide a DVD master that has been thoroughly reviewed and tested prior to submission to Dub-It for mastering and replication.
NOTE: Once a client DVD master passes all pre-mastering tests, a glass master & stamper is prepared and DVD disc replication proceeds at the quantity ordered.
If the customer requests a check disc, the glass master and stamper must first be completed. Dub-It will then provide a check disc(s) at the same cost as disc replication.
NOTE: Preparation of check discs will add time to overall production schedule. |

| DVD-5 & DVD-9 Face Printing |
1) Dub-It does not have an additional charge for silk-screen or off-set printing of the DVD face.
2) Disc face film is an additional $20 per color layer- or customer may provide the disc face film to Dub-It specification.
(Disc face art layout to spec required. See Graphic Submission Specs).
3) One to four CMYK or spot colors can be silk-screened on a disc face, with or without a white undercoat (five colors possible).
4) A disc-face color proof is required at a cost of $20.

 |
| DVD-10 Disc Face Printing |
1) Because DVD players must be able to read both sides of the disc, DVD-10s cannot be printed edge-to-edge like DVD-5s & DVD-9s. Instead, DVD-10s are printed on both sides within a very narrow 4mm ring.
2) Single color printing is recommended due to the limited printing area on DVD-10s.
3) Disc face film is additional at $25 per color layer or customer may provide disc face film to Dub-It Spec.
(Disc face art layout to spec required. See Graphic Submission Specs).
4) A disc face color proof is required if Dub-It outputs face film. Disc face color proof is $20.
